ORDERS AND PAYMENT
Which debit and credit cards do you accept?
We accept all major payment methods including Alipay, Amazon Pay, American Express, Klarna, Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit. We are not able to accept cash or cheques.
Is my order confirmed?
Once you’ve completed your purchase, we send you an order confirmation email soon after. If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please check your junk folders first and, if it’s not there, contact us at hello@huggearrings.com and we will help resolve the issue.
Has my order been processed?
Once your order is confirmed, we aim to process all orders in up to 2 complete business days. You will receive an email notifying you once your order has been shipped. Processing may be delayed during busy periods.
Can I amend my order?
Unfortunately, we are unable to cancel or amend orders once they have been confirmed by us by email. However, orders can be returned at your expense for a product refund for any reason up to 14 days from receipt.
Does my order include tax?
Hugg Earrings is a newly started company. For the moment, we aren’t registered for VAT. Which is good news for now as this means we don’t charge you VAT.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
We don’t offer specific gift-wrapping.
All our earrings are sent in a single sized postal box, with decorative packaging and a snug, hugg branded, velvet jewellery pouch.
You have the option to add a gift note at checkout, which we will hand-write and place inside the box.
Do you offer any discount for new customers
Yes, we do. All new customers get 10% off their first order when they subscribe to our email list.

OUR EARRINGS
What materials are hugg earrings made from?
Our earrings have been specially designed for sensitive ears.
They’re coated with 18k gold on 316L surgical grade stainless steel, using PVD technology.
We’ve purposefully chosen high quality surgical grade stainless steel over other metals, such as Sterling Silver, because it has low levels of nickel in the alloy, which makes it better suited for wearers who have sensitive skin and are looking for earrings that are less likely to cause an allergic reaction. It also highly durable, tarnish-resistant and 100% recyclable.
PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) is an environmentally-friendly technology that uses an advanced vacuum process to create a highly durable, tarnish-resistant and high polish coating. The quality of the process makes PVD jewellery longer-lasting, particularly compared to the more usual dip-plating
Do clip-on earrings hurt?
There is no definitive “yes” or “no” answer to whether clip-on earrings hurt, because everyone has different levels of sensitivity. But, for most people, the longer you wear them after putting them on, the more likely they are to become uncomfortable at some point. Though they do have the advantage that they can be taken off and put back on again easily. A quick massage of the lobes can really help as can putting them back on in a slightly different position 🙂
Are hugg clip-on earrings comfortable to wear every day?
We have incorporated several elements into our designs to help them to be worn longer and more comfortably than other clip-on styles:
- We've capped the weight of our earrings and reduced the weight of our earrings wherever possible, which reduces the pull on your lobes.
- Every corner that comes into contact with your skin is buffered and smoothed down by hand.
- We use extra-large jelly comfort pads at the back of the clips.
- We provide an additional set of complimentary, adhesive pads with every order too, which you can choose to place wherever is most comfortable.
Our clips have been set to an industry strength standard, to reduce the risk of earrings falling off or being lost. The clip-strength can be adjusted if you buy the right tools, but it’s a fiddly thing to do and there is good chance you may damage the clip, so we don’t recommend it.
How do I care for my earrings?
Although our earrings are designed to be worn every day, proper care, cleaning and storage helps to keep your pieces in top condition.
The nature of spring-clips makes them more susceptible to breakage versus pierced earrings. Make sure you put them on and take them off as gently as you can. Remove any access moisturiser, oils, makeup or perfume from your lobes to help avoid the earrings slipping off.
Avoid spraying the earrings with perfume or other chemicals as this could damage the plating.
The earrings are water resistant and made to be worn day-to-day, so it’s fine to wear them in the shower and on most occasions, swimming pools and the sea. But, we would recommend removing them before swimming owing to the varying presence of chemicals/ abrasives in the water.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any dirt or oil.
Store your earrings as an individual set in the velvet pouch provided and not with lots of other jewellery as too much rubbing can cause the plating to thin. Gold earrings, in particular, should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight.

Returning or exchanging an item because you changed your mind?
Orders can be returned at your expense for a product refund for any reason up to 14 days from receipt.

Earrings that are not faulty or damaged on receipt must be returned to us in their original condition, unworn and in the fabric pouch they were originally shipped. We check all our earrings for blemishes, scratches or defects when they are shipped.
Product refunds will be made at the same price at which the products were bought and by the same method you used to make the payment.
The maximum refund for the cost of returning goods to us will be that of the least expensive delivery option we offer.
Returning an item due to a fault or damage?
Earrings that arrive damaged or are faulty can be returned to us up to 30 days from receipt for either a free replacement or a full refund including your return postage.
If you want to return or exchange because you think your earrings are faulty or damaged, please email us with the description of the fault along with photos to hello@huggearrings.com first, as this will usually help you get a replacement or a refund easily and quickly.
