Terms of service

Please read these terms and conditions before you place an order with us. By placing an order you are agreeing to be bound by them. 

How to Contact us

2.1 Our office is at Woodend Farmhouse, Woodend, Medmenham, Bucks SL7 2HW

2.2 You can call us on 01628898586 at any time between 10.00am and 5.00pm Mon-Fri, excluding Bank Holidays, or email us on hello@huggearrings.com. You can also write to us at Hugg Earrings, Woodend Farmhouse, Woodend, Medmenham, Bucks SL7 2HW.

2.3 If we have to contact you, we will telephone you or write to you at the email address or postal address you gave us with your order.

VAT

3.1 Hugg Earrings is a newly started company. For the moment, we aren’t registered for VAT. Which is good news for now as this means we don’t charge you VAT.

Our Agreement with you

4.1 A contract between us will be made when we email you to confirm your order

4.2 We are unable to make any changes to your order once it has been confirmed. But you can return any item for any reason for a replacement or a refund within 14 days of receipt (see Returns below)

4.3 If, for some reason, we aren’t unable to accept your order, we will email you to let you know. You won’t be charged for the order

4.4 If your payment is not accepted by our payment portal this will be flagged during the payment process

Payment

5.1 We accept payment by American Express, Apple Pay, Maestro, Mastercard, PayPal, ShopPay, Visa and Visa Debit cards

5.2 All payments on our website are processed for us by Shopify Payments. Payments using PayPal are processed by PayPal using their own integration with Shopify. We are unable to accept liability for the operation or availability of Shopify’s services

We Only Deliver to the UK

6.1 As a very new company, with limited resources, we are only able to fulfil orders at the moment for delivery within the UK mainland. Please accept our apologies if you’d like to buy something but live outside the UK. We hope to be able to support sales internationally soon

Deliveries and Delivery Charges

7.1 Mainland UK only

There are two options available at check-out:
UK Standard delivery – via Royal Mail Tracked 48 – usually delivered within 2-3 working days of order being processed.

UK Next Day Delivery (if ordered before 1.00pm Mon-Frid) – via Royal Mail Tracked 24 – usually delivered the next working day of the order being processed.

7.2 We will let you know the cost of delivery during the order process and we’ll confirm when we aim to deliver to you when we confirm your order by email. We’ll email you again to confirm when the order has been despatched with details of how you can track it.

7.3 We will not be liable for delays in delivery that are outside our direct control but will always do our best to get it to you as quickly as we can.

7.4 We will be responsible for your goods up to the point at which they are delivered to the address you gave us when you placed your order.

Returns

8.1 Orders can be returned at your expense for a product refund for any reason up to 14 days from receipt.

8.2 Earrings that arrive damaged or are faulty can be returned to us up to 30 days from receipt for either a free replacement or a full refund including your return postage.

If you think your earrings are damaged or faulty please email us first before sending them back at hello@huggearrings.com with a description of the damage or fault along with a photo or photos as this will usually help you get a replacement or a refund easily and quickly.

8.3 Earrings that are not faulty or damaged on receipt must be returned to us in their original condition in the fabric pouch they were originally shipped. We check all our earrings for blemishes, scratches or defects when they are shipped.

8.4 Product refunds will be made at the same price at which the products were bought and by the same method you used to make the payment.

8.5 The maximum refund for the cost of returning goods to us will be that of the least expensive delivery option we offer.

Photos of our Earrings

9.1 The colour, composition or dimensions of the earrings we deliver to you may differ very slightly sometimes from the photos you order from online. Our earrings are made in small production batches and are hand-assembled so occasional slight variations are a natural part of the process.

10.1 We will only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy

Jurisdiction in the Case of Disputes

11.1 The contract we will have with you and its terms will be governed by the law of England & Wales and all legal proceedings in relation to it will be heard in the courts of England & Wales.
